-
Cement tiles are handmade, so slight variations in colour or texture from piece to piece are normal and expected. We recommend mixing tiles from different boxes during installation for the best visual result.
-
Cement tiles are suitable for walls and floors in both residential and commercial environments, including wet areas such as showers. They can be used indoors and outdoors, though prolonged direct sun exposure may cause fading over time — green and blue tones are especially susceptible. Some sealers provide UV protection that can help reduce this effect.
-
No. Sealing is strongly recommended. We advise pre-sealing before grouting — this helps clean the surface and makes grout removal easier. Because cement tiles are porous (like natural stone), sealing after installation protects against water and grease stains. Note that no sealer prevents damage from acidic substances; spills of citrus juice, vinegar, soda, or wine should be cleaned up immediately. Contact us for information on locally available sealants.
-
Clean cement tiles regularly with a neutral soap such as dishwashing liquid. Do not use acidic cleaners — products with a citrus scent often contain acid.
